Microbiology Technical Account Manager
Our client is a leading Life sciences company and a market leader in providing diagnostic testing systems for microbial contamination. - Instruct users in use of microbiology equipment. - Provide training and support for customers and personnel. - Must have ability to build and manage new and established customer relationships via regular travel. - Renew reagent contracts with existing customers. - Provide external technical presentations as required (trade shows, user groups, etc.).
Acquire and retain new accounts through the validation process; - Increase sales of instruments and reagents by identifying growth opportunities; - Provide telephone and on-site support for new customers and prospects, including application information/trouble-shooting; - Recommend or perform minor remedial actions to correct problems related to instrumentation, reagents and system software.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (microbiology, biochemistry preferred); - At least 1-2 years experience in a technical support/Account Management role; - At least 1-2 years experience/training in a microbiology or biology laboratory; - Experience with diagnostic procedures in the food, pharmaceutical industry; - Ability to interact and establish relationships with various manufacturing settings/audiences; - Much live in the vicinity of the city KÃ¶ln; - Only candidates which are fluent in German and English will be considered.
