Students will be introduced to new words, phrases and grammatical structures in a stimulating and interesting way. Teaching staff at the Academy of English shall endeavour to use cutting-edge, innovative teaching methods and draw on cultural contexts to make their sessions as engaging and meaningful to their students as possible, irrespective of age, background or ethnicity. To maximise in-class learning experiences, each student will be given the attention that he or she requires and deserves.
All courses shall adhere to national and international guidelines as set forth by bodies involved in monitoring and the oversight of our educational endeavours, including Lower Saxony’s own guidelines for the supervision and care of young children, Helen Doron Early English guidelines and the Common European Framework for Reference for Languages (CEFR) for teenager and adult learners. Moreover, The Academy of English firmly supports the European Union’s commitment to language learning: it is a universal right regardless of age, background or ability. Our lessons, especially with their cultural contextual focus, shall develop and entrench cultural awareness and understanding, highlighting cross-cultural similarities and differences.
Our ESL Instructors come to early education from all walks of life and a diverse range of backgrounds. The most important qualifications are a joyful attitude towards learning and a high level of English competency.
Working hours are flexible, part-time and freelance positions are available.
