Business Leader Germany / Eastern Europe - Medical Devices - Stem Cell Area
My client is a medical devices company based in Geneva. They create devices for (Stem) Cell Therapy. They're currently represented in 25 countries. In order to reach their goals and expand their presence in Central/Eastern Europe they're currently looking for an experienced Sales/Business Development Manager based in Germany. It's a very interesting role with a lot of responsibilities. Besides being very independent (you work alone and from home) you will be able to build your own office in the years to come. In their current plan, as of 2016, you will be heading up a team consisting of up to 10 people.
You will be trained during a one to three month period by technical/scientific specialists in the head office (Switzerland) and the first meetings will be done in a team structure, where an experienced sales leader will join you.
Looking at size, and future possibilities Germany is their biggest market besides a large focus on Eastern Europe
- Responsible for sales/business development in multiple countries - Germany + Eastern Europe
- Start building office after approximately one year - by the end of 2015 beginning of 2016 you will start hiring extra specialists
- Represent firm on congresses en exhibitions (European wide)
- Develop strategy to maintain and strengthen leadership status
- Make sales forecasts
- Report results to board including forecasts - this is done through quarterly sales meetings and video conferencing with the head office
- 3 years of experience in a similar role - preferably in the area of stem cells
- 3 years of experience in European wide medical devices sales
- Fluent in German, English, and preferably one Eastern European Language
- Excellent communication skills, capable of understanding/communicating with physicians
- Understand the environment of an international start-up / SME
- Proven track record
- University degree in Life Sciences
- Self starter, you work from home (Germany) and will visit clients throughout Europe, you need to be able to cope with the fact that you don't work in an office environment the first 1 - 1,5 year.
- Extensive travelling
- Germany based
- Fluent in German - English
- Life Sciences back ground - understand physicians
- Experience in Medical Decives BD/Sales
- Proven track record of sales, but also loyalty towards your employer (careers of 3 to 5 years with one employer)
- Don't be a sales killer, be a pragmatic team player who builds a market based on long term relationships

- stage 2 - f2f interview with board of directors (CEO / CFO / CSO / COO)
- stage 3 - f2f meeting with chairman
